First Saturday Nature Exploration Stations
On the first Saturday of every month volunteers in Bernheim’s Training-for-Naturalists program lead fun and entertaining Nature Exploration Stations at the Visitor Center. Both children and adults enjoy the varied interpretations of the nature of Bernheim at these events. The First Saturday program offers changing experiences each month. You might get to stroke a snake, look a toad in eye, hear hidden stories in plants and trees, figure out the food chain, and discover a whole lot more about your connections with nature. And you can get in touch with your natural creativity through take home nature inspired craft projects. Age 5 and up.

Kid’s fest
Second Saturday in March – A festival designed to entertain and educate children 12 years old and under. Children must be supervised by an adult. 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Free admission.

Knob Creek Military Gun Show & Shoot
April 9, 10 & 11, 2010 - Nations largest show and shoot for traders, shooters and Spectators. Knob Creek Gun Range is open year around for your shooting enjoyment! The facility is encompassed by more than 600 acres & designed to provide you & your family a safe shooting environment.

Mt. Washington Spring Festival
Fri & Sat May 7th & 8th – If you are looking for a place to spend quality time with the entire family, this is the great place. Mt. Washington Spring Fling will offer craft booths, food, parade, pageants and tons of fun stuff. Don’t miss the Kick off to spring.

Mt. Washington Spring Fling 5K Run/Walk
Second Saturday May 8th – This 5K Run/Walk will take place in Mt. Washington, one of two run / walks in the county. The 5K will start at 8:00a.m. Registration fee will be $12.00 if you pre-register before May 1st or register the day of for $15.00. Come sign up and accomplish your goals by signing up to participate in the run or the walk. Set your own pace, have fun and hope to see you there.

Bloomfest & Plant Sale
Third Saturday 8am-5pm
The annual plant sale will give you an opportunity to find that one-of-a-kind plant for your garden. Bernheim also provides a host of informal programs in planting, design, pruning, and arboretum walks to help you better take care of your new plants. Please come and start off your planting season right. Bloomin Brunch, kite flying and more

Red Crow Indian Pow Wow
First full weekend June 5 & 6 – The Indian Pow Wow displays an array of cultural background to educate and entertain. See traditional dance competition performed in colorful cultural costumes. Native American vendors exhibit arts and crafts. Traders, dancers, food & cultural exhibits are just some of the experience you will have when you attend.

Annual Salt River Canoe Race
4th of July – Compete for the trophy, or take a scenic ride down the Salt River. Come and enjoy any activity you decide to take on. Canoeing is a great way to excise and relieve stress. Sign up and have fun at the same time.

Bluegrass 101 Festival
August 27th & 28th
I-65 exit 112 Friday 6:00 till 10:00pm and Saturday Noon till 10:00pm. Admission is Friday - $10.00, Saturday - $15.00 or both days - $20.00. Children 12 and under FREE. The bands are Bluegrass 101, Men of the Week, Whistlen Rufus, Tommy Brown and the County Line Grass, Gene Thompson and Crossroad, along with Paul Williams and the Victory Trio. We would love to have you come out and be with us on the 28th and 29th. It will be held under a large pavilion rain or shine "the show will go on". Bernheim Connectivity Festival & Fall Plant Sale
Second Saturday
Bernheim’s twice-yearly plant sales are always eagerly anticipated events. You’ll find a distinctive variety of plants propagated from Bernheim’s own collections, along with a varied selection of other unique trees, shrubs, grasses and perennial herbaceous plants. All are suitable for north central Kentucky growing. Bernheim is a great place to expand your mind, body, spirit and connect with nature – and your garden! 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m., Members Only - 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Open to the Public. Visitor Center.
