Bernheim’s Valentine Dinner 
Friday February 8th and Saturday February 9th – Plan now for a romantic dinner with your special someone and enjoy a magical evening in Bernheim’s enchanting Visitor Center. Enjoy a candlelit dinner, includes appetizers, main course, dessert, music and dancing throughout the evening. A cash bar will be available. Reservations required by Monday, February 4th.

Saturday March 9th – An event designed to entertain and educate children 12 years old and under. Children must be supervised by an adult. Free admission.

Bernheim Adopt a Tree
TBA - Bernheim invites you to adopt a tree to plant in your yard, school or community. Bernheim will give you a free tree while they last. Stay tuned for additional activities. Donations are accepted in honor of Arbor Day.

Knob Creek Military Gun Show & Shoot
April 12th, 13th & 14th – Nations largest show and shoot for traders and spectators. Knob Creek Gun Range is open year around for your shooting enjoyment! The facility is encompassed by more than 600 acres and designed to provide you and your family a safe shooting environment.

Mt. Washington Spring Festival
Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th – If you are looking for a place to spend quality time with the entire family, this is the great place. Festival will offer craft booths, food, parade, pageants and tons of fun. Don’t miss the kick off to Spring.

Team Puritt Spring 5K Run/Walk with Kids 1/2K Walk
Saturday May 11th – 5K Run/Walk with Kids 1/2K Walk will take place at St. Francis Church in Mt. Washington. The walk will start at 8:00am. Come and participate in the run/walk, set your own pace, have fun and hope to see you there.

BloomFest & Spring Plant Sale

BloomFest – Bernheim’s annual celebration of spring features the popular Woodland Faeries Costume Parade and “Construction Zone”, nature discovery stations, kite flying, KY craft artists, live music, great food and more.

Spring Plant Sale – Bernheim’s annual spring plant sale features Bernheim SelectTM, a distinctive variety of plants propagated from Bernheim’s own collections, along with a varied selection of other unique trees, shrubs, grasses and perennial herbaceous plants. All plants are suitable for north central Kentucky growing.

Spirit of the Eagle Pow Wow
Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2 Red Crow Indian Council, Inc. proudly honors our ancestors. Enjoy drumming, dancing, storytelling, Native American inspired arts and crafts, and Native American food.

Bernheim's Family Fishing Days 
TBA – In the spirit of the KY Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Free Fishing Days, Bernheim is opening Cedar Pond and Holly Pond to children accompanied by a parent. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a day of family fun. During these two days, no license is required to fish.

Bullitt County Fair

Annual Salt River Canoe Race
4th of July – Compete for the trophy, or take a scenic ride down the Salt River . Come and enjoy any activity you decide to take on. Canoeing is a great way to excise and relieve stress. Sign up and have fun at the same time.

CONNECT is Bernheim’s grand invitation for all to experiment, play, dance and dream. One can participate in the madness or simply enjoy the sights and sounds. Bernheim's ColorFest & Scarecrow Jubilee

Bernheim ColorFest – Bernheim’s annual ColorFest has affordable family fun surrounded by fall’s spectacular beauty with great food, Kentucky crafts, the Scarecrow Jubilee and more. Enjoy the crisp fall beauty and great nature-related activities for kids, refreshments, music and fun for all. You will find enlightening and entertaining hands-on nature activities, distinctive crafts by Kentucky artists, pumpkin painting, a hay maze and much more. Learn about bees, purple martins and other wildlife; relax and enjoy the striking colors of fall on a hayride – bring family and friends and create your own perfect day at ColorFest.

Bernheim Scarecrow Jubilee – Jubilee runs through November 15. Scarecrow Jubilee is an open invitational to individuals, groups, artists and all to submit a hand-crafted, ingenious creation out of recycle materials. Past submissions have included boy scouts eating bugs around a campfire, a life-size dancing bee with her honeypot, a six-foot chicken and so many more. These delightful beings grace the Bernheim landscape for several weeks with their charismatic personalities. Charge up your imagination and sense of fun and submit a scarecrow of your own! The 2012 theme is Hungry for Nature. Look for guidelines and an entry form online at
